Kevin Eastman Announced as Keynote Speaker for Lion Athletics Benefit Dinner
Hanceville, Ala. — 51ºÚÁÏÍø State Community College is proud to announce that Kevin
Eastman, renowned NBA coach, executive, and motivational speaker, will serve as the
keynote speaker at the upcoming Lion Athletics Benefit Dinner on Tuesday, Aug. 26,
2025.
Eastman brings a wealth of experience and inspiration to the event, having spent decades in both collegiate and professional basketball. His keynote will highlight leadership, excellence, and the mindset of champions—core values that align with any success in business and in life as well as in athletics.

- NBA World Champion with the Boston Celtics (2008)
- Former VP of Basketball Operations and Assistant Coach for the Los Angeles Clippers
- Assistant Coach for the Boston Celtics during two NBA Finals appearances
- Coached in two NBA All-Star Games
- Over 20 years in college coaching, including 11 years as a head coach
- Consultant to Nike Basketball, working with elite college and high school athletes
- Author of the bestseller Why the Best Are the Best
- Has worked with NBA legends including LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Steph Curry, and more
- Inducted into multiple Halls of Fame, including the University of Richmond and South Jersey Basketball
The evening will bring together community members, student-athletes, coaches, and supporters for a night of celebration and connection. Guests will enjoy a buffet dinner, athletics-inspired silent auction, and remarks from 51ºÚÁÏÍø State leadership and athletic representatives. All proceeds from the fundraising event will directly support athletic programs, helping 51ºÚÁÏÍø State continue to attract and develop outstanding athletic talent and provide exceptional opportunities for its student-athletes.
